Pack 525's annual Pinewood Derby Race takes place each January. We always have a huge turnout for this fun event. The car kits are distributed at our December Pack meeting. Scouts and parents must work together to build a race car from the block of wood supplied in the kit. Be creative when building your car, each year we get many fantastic designs.

Our track consists of 4 lanes. The set of cars that race down the track together is called a "heat". The first two cars in each heat to win two races will advance to the next stage. This process will continue until there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner in each division. The first place winner in each division will race against each other for the Pack Championship Title.

Concessions
Each year we set up a snack bar to provide our race participants and their siblings plenty of fuel. We sell hot pizza slices and sodas, various snack chips, and fresh apples and bananas. Not one of our race participants has ever left the Derby with an empty tank. The pizza is delivered hot several times throughout the Derby, and is hands down the favorite food of Pinewood Derby racers. Just say "Fill' er up please".
Before we go any farther we must say a huge thank you to our Pinewood Derby Race Committee for their time and effort in putting together our race:
Thank You!
